My name is: Morgan Bain
I sound like: Alternative soul, blues, rock
Inspired by: Bill Withers, Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Alabama Shakes, James Blake, D’angelo
I reside in: Perth WA
My local music scene is: Fantastic! We are all good buddies in WA. It’s a very tight supportive scene and there’s lots of diversity.
The most annoying thing about my scene is: We need some more original live music venues and the fact that we are so isolated from the rest of Australia makes it so expensive to tour!!
My best gig to date was: I’ve had lots of best gigs to date!…one of the best was supporting Cold Chisel when I was 17 years old in front of 11,000 people.
The song that gets me dancing is: Signed, sealed, delivered by Stevie Wonder
First album I bought: Craig David (yes I know!)
My musical youth involved: singing, guitar, songwriting in class and at home and lots of performing!
Pop music is: great! for example Michael Jackson, but it can also be terrible – but everyone’s different!
If I could have written any song it would have to be: You’ve Got a Friend by Carol King
Do you play Fifa? If not, do you have a favourite game? Not into video games at all.
Favourite Restaurant: I don’t really have one, just as long as it has good sushi (my favourite) it’s fine with me.
The thing I hate most about bloggers is: I don’t really think about that at all!
My musical guilty pleasure is: Christina Aguilera – Ain’t no other man…not guilty really…it’s a killer song!
The sporting team I follow is: I don’t really follow footy, I just surf and skate
If I weren’t a musician I would be: not here
