Q&A with Yeo

Yeo

Happy Tuesday ya’ll! Here’s a Q&A with the talented musician/producer Yeo for you all. Also have a listen to his new single KOBE and the tour dates below.

My name is: Yeo

I sound like: A movie that seems really simple but actually has lots of detail

Inspired by: Sci-fi movies & heartbreak

I reside in: Melbourne, Australia

My local music scene is: Varied and bursting with talent

The most annoying thing about my scene is: Melbourne punters are famous for folding their fucking arms and standing around instead of dancing

My best gig to date was: Kyneton Music Festival

The song that gets me dancing is: Jessie Ware – Running (Disclosure Remix)

First album I bought: Greatest Hits – Bing Crosby

My musical youth involved: Playing in a ska-punk band called Sons Of Mandrake and also a progressive metal band called SkyPi

Pop music is: A reason to live

If I could have written any song it would have to be: Future Islands – Seasons

Do you play Fifa? If not, do you have a favourite game?: I am an avid Fifa spectator, especially when my housemates play. My favourite game is Megaman 6.

Favourite Restaurant: Al Albero

The thing I hate most about bloggers is: Self-deprecation, but I actually love most things about bloggers

My musical guilty pleasure is: Side-chain compression, analog synths & buried vocals

The sporting team I follow is: Detroit Tigers

If I weren’t a musician I would be: A marine biologist with an unhealthy marijuana habit
